School Council

Our UNICEF Rights Respecting School Council meets once a term. Each form group elects a pupil to represent them on the school council and meetings are chaired by the therapy team lead, Mrs Mellor.

All pupils can put forward suggestions to be considered by the school council and the school council members will then take these suggestions to the Senior Leadership Team. Sometimes staff also put things on the agenda.

The Council have discussed and voted on a number of important topics, including; like new playground equipment, school uniform, lunch clubs and curriculum changes such as adding more life skills lessons. School council also support with development of school policies and interviewing new staff.

School council reps feedback to their classmates following the meetings.
