Grange Park @ Hadlow College
Grange Park’s partnership site at Hadlow College has been running since 2014 and students attend for 5 days a week. For 3 days, students’ access college courses with the support of Grange Park staff and the remaining 2 days are tailored to meet the needs of the individual, whether that be travel training, work placements or other life skills.
The emphasis is on enabling students to become, by the time they leave Grange Park @ Hadlow College, independent learners who can go on to study at Hadlow or other colleges by themselves as well as equipping them with the skills to be independent adults gaining apprenticeships, traineeships and employment.
Hadlow College is specialist land-based college situated in the heart of the Kent countryside. Grange Park students are able to access all the facilities there which include top quality workshops and laboratories as well as a state of the art animal management unit, commercial farm, equine yard and stables and a professional grade football pitch. Students learn in the Learning Zones and socialise in the Social Zones. The college day begins at 8.30am and, depending on lectures, finishes between 3.30pm and 5.00pm.
Whilst at Grange Park @ Hadlow College, students keep their Educational Health Care Plans. Currently transport is still provided by the Local Authority as it would be if they attended Grange Park @ Wrotham. Students are dropped off at the entrance where Grange Park staff meet them and at the end of the day, students are taken back to meet the taxis.
