Citizenship

All Key Stage 2 and 4 pupils are timetabled a weekly Citizenship lesson. Citizenship provision at Grange Park aims to teach pupils about:

  • contributing to a community, including making changes and improvements
  • how citizens can participate actively and responsibly in society
  • the law in the UK and its consequences
  • skills to manage living needs with independence, such as finance and accessing support
  • diversity in society and the need for mutual respect and understanding

New for this academic year, Year 10 pupils will be working on AQA PSE units in their Citizenship lessons. The units selected encompass topics and areas that will enable pupils to develop knowledge and skills as listed above, while also working towards achieving an Entry Level 3 Award.
