Citizenship
All Key Stage 4 pupils are timetabled a weekly Citizenship lesson. Citizenship provision at Grange Park aims to teach pupils about:
contributing to a community, including making changes and improvements
how citizens can participate actively and responsibly in society
the law in the UK and its consequences
skills to manage living needs with independence, such as finance and accessing support
diversity in society and the need for mutual respect and understanding
New for this academic year, Year 10 pupils will be working on AQA PSE units in their Citizenship lessons. The units selected encompass topics and areas that will enable pupils to develop knowledge and skills as listed above, while also working towards achieving an Entry Level 3 Award.
