Employability aims to provide the Entry Level 2, Entry level 3, Level 1 and Level 2 accreditation for young people who are not yet ready for employment but for whom a job is a realistic aim within reasonable a timescale.
Students will have been introduced to Employability at KS4 and will continue with it at KS5. This qualification provides a framework for developing and recognising general employability skills.
Accreditation and Programme of Study
Employability qualifications are accredited at Entry Level 2, Entry Level 3 and Levels 1 and 2, and are nationally approved.
Terms 1 & 2: Maintaining work Standards and Health & Safety in the workplace.
Terms 3 & 4: Exploring job opportunities and communicating with others at work.
Term 5: Rights and responsibilities in the workplace
Term 6: Revision and preparing coursework for moderation.
All modules are linked to work experience and vocational training.
The Level 2 qualification can help learners develop employability skills within occupational settings.
In order to achieve an ASDAN Employability qualification, learners must produce a portfolio of evidence. The evidence is internally assessed and moderated and then externally moderated by ASDAN.
