Post 16 @ Grange Park

The step up from Key Stage 4 to Key Stage 5 (Post16) is a significant one and it is really important that both you and your child fully understand what the options are. There are 4 pathways:

  • Pathway 1: Post16@Grange Park School (Wrotham)

    • For pupils not yet ready to access the other pathways, we provide an interim course at the Wrotham Site aimed at progressing students into one of the other pathways.

  • Pathway 2: Post16@College (College Partnership Mid-Kent (Medway or Maidstone))

    • Attending college opens up personal horizons and, with the support of Grange Park staff, pupils make outstanding progress.

    • A one-year transition is also offered where students will transition into college independent of Grange Park

  • Pathway 3: Post16@Work

    • For students who would like to experience the workplace. Grange Park support the student while undertaking a supported internship with a local business and the school delivers English and maths qualifications.

  •  Pathway 4: Another educational provider or employment

    • For students already with Grange Park and wanting to progress into employment or another provision we support with the transition process to ensure this is completed smoothly.

In both pathways 1,2 and 3, the pupil remains a student at Grange Park for the duration of their study. All students continue to receive the same tailored support regardless of location.
