The Parents’ Group is a forum run by Grange Park parents for parents. It is a place where parents can meet in an informal setting and discuss any issues that are concerning them, whether this be behaviour, how to access benefits or just to share any experiences.
We aim to listen to parents, teachers and any other family members to provide as much information and support as possible and to link up with outside agencies where required. Speakers this year have included representatives from ISKent, Direct Payments and the Parents’ Consortium as well as past pupils and their parents. Topics covered have included e-safety, behaviour management and outreach. We are always looking for new ideas and topics to cover so if there is something in particular you would like to know more about, please let us know.
We are also looking to put together a range of initiatives such as a buddy scheme outside of school and organising outings for families as well as sharing useful information and contacts. It is not all work and no play though and we hope to organise some fun fundraising activities that everyone can take part in.
Meetings are held monthly (we try and vary the day as much as possible to enable as many parents at possible to attend) at the Wrotham site and all Grange Park parents/carers are welcome. Extra meetings can be arranged if necessary. Dates will appear on the Grange Park website along with any useful information that comes out of the meetings.
