What Outreach can offer
"Frances was extremely helpful in the way that she listened to what we wanted/needed and adapted her presentation brilliantly to support our needs... It was exactly what we wanted in in terms of raising staff awareness of the key difficultities faced by ASD students and the top strategies for supporting them." R Johnson, Assistant Headteacher and SENCO, Maidstone Grammar School
Our Outreach offers a range of services to help mainstream schools support pupils with autism spectrum conditions (ASC) and their families.
For more information on any of these services please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Talks and Events
Throughout the year we invite people who can give us insight into autism, to come and talk to us and help us to improve what we do. These talks are open to school colleagues, families and carers and most of them are free.
Work shadowing opportunities – or ‘in-reach’
An invitation to mainstream colleagues to work-shadow a year-group at Grange Park, or to join a group touring the school and take part in a workshop on classroom practice.
We can offer a range of training courses for staff, from a basic workshop on classroom interventions to a Stage 2 accredited programme on autism in the classroom, delivered by Canterbury Christchurch University. We also provide training in partnership with the Local Inclusion Forum Teams (LIFTs).
Support and advice from our specialist staff
Grange Park has many highly experienced specialist staff, who can advise mainstream colleagues on all aspects of autism and classroom practice. This service is often accessed by school SENCos, via the Local Inclusion Forum Team (LIFT).
Bespoke support for mainstream schools
We can shape a programme to support your school – please talk to us about what you need.
