Music at Grange Park School

“Without music, life would be a mistake” – Friedrich Nietzsche

All pupils at Grange Park engage with music in some way – whether that is listening to their favourite artists, learning an instrument or composing, it plays a big part in their lives. We try to encourage and nurture this in the music department at Grange Park School, as well as providing a well-rounded music education and introductions to learning new instruments. We have a number of different peripatetic teachers who teach individual pupils guitar, ukulele and piano. We run a singing group at lunchtime called Grange Park Singers, and we have many performance opportunities such as the end of year Talent Show. We are lucky to have access to good music technology resources at Grange Park School such as Garageband on the iPads and Audacity, and have a wide range of acoustic instruments including acoustic guitars, electric guitars, bass guitars, keyboards, ukuleles, various percussion instruments and an electric drum kit.
